Maureen D. Rickman, PhD (she/her)

Dr. Rickman’s developmental approach is rooted in neuroscience. This gives her the confidence to say without a doubt – everyone grows and changes. Nature, nurture and self-determination all contribute to who we are and who we become. When we are faced with challenges from our history or biology, reacting and striving to overcome problems may make things worse.  When we access the power of self-acceptance and appreciation, we can choose to thrive in the midst of things being exactly as they are.

Dr. Rickman approaches each client with compassionate curiosity about the whole person: Mind, Body, and Soul. Testing and evaluation is a large part of her practice because when we know better, we do better. Therapy focuses on discovering and implementing one’s own credo for living well.
