Adoption / Foster Placement
Many adopted children need extra support to live well with their ‘forever family.’ Children with a complicated history who can’t live with their birth parents may need out-of-home treatment to address their problems. Adjustment to foster care can be difficult for parents as well as children.
Our clinicians are experienced in dealing with all types of families and can address reactive attachment disorder, attachment problems, adjustment problems, and the feelings of betrayal and grief that sometimes occur in adopted or foster care children.

We also provide psychological testing of parents interested in adoption and can evaluate the needs of challenging children to find a placement that works. Read more on our Testing and Evaluation page.
